The Easter Dragon Egg Hunt at Pontefract Castle is back for another year, and better than ever! Help Ilbert the Dragon find all his eggs on a special trail. Join in with different dragon activities throughout the week, including craft activities, storytelling and games.

Easter Egg Trail at Nostell

Make your way along the trail and find nature-inspired activities for the whole family at Nostell‘s Easter Egg Trail. There are 10 fun trail points to discover as you make your way around the garden including an egg and spoon race, easter egg toss, hula hoop challenge and matching egg pairs game.

There’s also the woodland play area, house, wild play and den building, cycle trails, café and shop to add to your family day out!

Spring has sprung at Castleford Museum! Go on a trail around the displays to spot the signs of spring. Then have a go at making a flapping paper bird and decorating your own plant pot. Don’t forget to take part in the sunflower growing competition!

Please note: Friday 11 and Thursday 17 April are SEND sessions. SEND groups are welcome at all of sessions, but these sessions are designed for families who prefer a more relaxed atmosphere.

Lamb Feeding Experience

Visit Horncastle Farm for a unique and memorable lamb feeding experience this Easter! Sessions run daily, where you can bottle feed some adorable lambs. The price includes Lamb Bottle Feeding for one person only (young children may have one accompanying adult to help them). A ticket is required for all who wish to partake in the bottle feeding. A bottle feeding ticket allows for one observer to enter the barn with those taking part in bottle feeding.

Pirate Bonnie is looking for treasure – but no ordinary treasure, for she is no ordinary pirate. The treasures she seeks are stories, the long-lost stories of swashbuckling pirates. Bonnie invites the audience on board her ship to join the crew, set sail and discover treasures. Each treasure recovered is a forgotten legend of a real female pirate.

In typical Fidget Theatre style, the show is warm and witty with original songs and friendly interaction for children and their grown-ups who all become Bonnie’s ship-shape crew.
