Ossett Green Park is a pretty local park in the historic town of Ossett. Opened in 1963, the park is a haven for dog walkers, children and adults alike.

Little ones will love the playground, with swings, roundabout and climbing equipment. You could even download the free Love Exploring app and go on a dinosaur safari around the park! The Love Exploring app uses the magic of augmented reality to bring to life amazing sights on a smartphone, opening up a magical world of Dinosaurs and uncovering some amazing facts!

If you’re keen to keep in shape and push your fitness further, you can even have a free workout on the outdoor gym equipment dotted around the park.

For those that would rather a slower pace of life however, there are plenty of benches around Ossett Green Park for you to sit and watch the world go by. In the spring keep an eye out for the carpet of stunning purple crocuses that crop up around the park and marvel in the changing of the seasons.
